The first appointment is typically one hour during which you can address your concerns in detail by discussing your history and the problems you are currently experiencing. After the history has been taken, the doctor will perform a thorough physical exam and outline treatment options including rehabilitation, exercises, soft tissue work, and chiropractic adjustments. Because we book plenty of time for our patients, you will never feel rushed. Most consecutive visits will be about 30 minutes and typically include exercises, soft tissue treatment (Graston and A.R.T.), and chiropractic adjustments.
With most insurance companies, you do not need a referral from a medical doctor to be seen by a chiropractic doctor.

Chiropractic treatment has been proven to be effective for many musculoskeletal conditions. Most people know that chiropractic is the treatment of choice for neck and back pain, but we have had tremendous success with a variety of conditions ranging from head aches, strain/sprain injuries of almost any joint, TMJ pain, Plantar Fasciitis (foot pain with inflammation), and treatment of both the upper and lower extremities.
Apart from the normal conditions treated by chiropractors, some patients report benefits for non-musculoskeletal complaints.
If you are unsure if you need chiropractic care or if chiropractic is right for your situation, call the office to set up a complimentary 10 minute consultation. You will be glad that you did.
Below is a partial list of common conditions that are treated at Financial District Chiropractic.
Many conditions have related soft tissue problems which are treated with Graston or Active Release Technique ® (ART).
At Financial District Chiropractic, we have a three-prong approach to treatment.
The Graston Technique and ART are highly effective soft tissue treatments used to detect and break up scar tissue or adhesions that cause pain and restrict motion. Graston and ART can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions and decrease the overall treatment time for many injuries.
Patients often report significant relief after the first few visits, but treatment plans vary depending on the severity and complexity of the complaint(s). Generally, patients are treated 1-3 times a week (depending on severity) for 2-3 weeks and then re-evaluated.
After the main complaint is resolved patients are released from care. However, a growing number of patients are requesting regular chiropractic care to help maintain their improved health status. Regular chiropractic care is a lifestyle choice, much like healthy eating, regular exercise, and regular dental care. Think of it as dental care for your back--spinal hygiene. You no longer need to have a tooth ache to see the dentist, and you don’t need a spinal complaint to get beneficial chiropractic adjustments. Ultimately, our main concern is patient satisfaction. Whether you are seeking pain relief or looking for a more proactive approach to healthy living, Financial District Chiropractic is your right choice.
